The meeting held on June 14, 2009 in the Legion Building at 6:30 p.m. was brought to order by Sara Culler. The 4-H pledge was led by Trina Sanders while the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Preston Zeedyk. The minutes were approved and read by Olivia Garrigus as was roll call. Kristine Culler informed us that we had $310.24 in our fund. Caity Karnes gave a health report on junk food. Sam Garrigus gave a safety report on animal bites. Emily Culler did the recreational activity outside with a water balloon toss. The old business is that scholarships for 4-H camp were due on June 16th and 4-H camp starts on July 9th thru the 13th . There was the Relay for Life walk and run that we decided to do as a group on Friday the 19th . We had no information on the flowerbeds at the fairgrounds we had a meeting after the 4-H meeting. We were also still discussing t-shirts. For the fundraiser we decided on donuts and candles. 2 people were opposed to this idea. New business is that there was a rabbit clinic on June 17th . Food and clothing clinics were also held on June 20th at the extension office. The food clinic was at 9:00 a.m. and the clothing clinic was at 10:00a.m. The deadline for state fair livestock shows was on June 20th . Judging’s for still projects is on July 16th and skillathon is July 21st, both of these are at the K of C in Defiance. If you didn’t make these there was a prejudging on June 29th at Fairview High School. Please make it to judging!!!! We also had these ideas for booths at the fair: zoo, sports, transformers, TV, Going Green, and Relay for Life. Beef grooming and hoof trimming was on June 27th at the fairgrounds. There was a public speaking contest on June 25th . Style review cards are due July 7th at the Extension Office. We are also helping at the Farmer Social this year on August 6th . Demonstrations were given by Olivia and Ben Garrigus, Lorne Rossman, Jeffrey Timbrook, Ryan Singer, Malin and Michaela Adams,Whitney Smith, Jeff Appel, Maggie Pollard, Hailey Baldwin and Carly Sprow. Any one that does not have a demonstration done ,this is the last meeting to get one done. Volunteers for refreshments were Whitney Smith with snacks and Malin Adams with drinks. The next meeting was scheduled for July 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion Building. Adjourning the meeting was Natalie Appel and seconding Hailey Baldwin.

The meeting this month was held on May 17th,2009 in the Farmer Legion Building at 6:30p.m. for the Farmer Agriculturalists. Call to order was brought to attention by president Sara Culler. 4-H pledge was led by Trina Sanders and The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Katie Davis. Roll call and minutes were read by Secretary Olivia Garrigus. Treasurer Kristine Culler stated that we had $945.69 in our fund. We also made $133.50 off of our bake sale. We had no health report. Sam Garrigus did the safety report on lawnmower safety. Recreational officer Emily Culler had recreation outside with an egg race. The winners won a piece of candy. For old business we talked about fundraising ideas. We also talked about a double fundraising event. After a while of discussion we decided to form a committee and table the discussion until the next meeting. Motioning this was Olivia Garrigus and Jared Pendleton seconding. On the fundraising committee is: Morgan Pendleton, Darian Andrist, Jared Pendleton, Trina Sanders, Tierney Czartoski, and Nikki Davis. We also were asked to sell tickets for the Relay for Life as a community project. We decided to walk for J.T. Nusbaum on June 19th and 20th from 7p.m. to 10a.m. We would have 4-Her’s only. Motioned to do this was Trina Sanders and seconding was Hailey Baldwin. New business is that are all members receiving a county newsletter each month? We also closed our old checking account to the Sherwood Bank. We would also like to remind you that it would be nice to have demonstrations done before July 16th because that’s judging day or have them done as soon as possible. We were also asked to adopt a flowerbed at the fairgrounds on a permanent basis. The club formed a committee and on it were the following people: Maggie Pollard, Addie Bergman, Michaela Adams, Katelyn Smith, Eme Sprow and Kendra Schroeder. Livestock central tagging is June 6th at the Extension Office from 7a.m. until 12p.m.(noon). If you have not made it to a Quality Assurance there was one May 20th at Tinora High school from 3:30-5:00p.m. There is also one on June 14th at the Hicksville Huber Opera House form 2:00-3:30p.m. 4-H camp dates are July 9th through the 13th. Scholarship deadline is June 16th. Lastly the senior fair board is accepting donations for their garage sale on June 13th-14th. All proceeds go to the Senior fair board.

Volunteer for demonstrations for the next meeting were: Olivia and Ben Garrigus, Trevor Manning, Lorne Rossman, Jeffery Timbrook, Zach Zeedyk, Trent and Tierney Czartoski, Ryan Singer, Malin and Michaela Adams, Whitney Smith, Jeff Appel, Maggie Pollard and Hailey Baldwin. Volunteers for refreshments were Laney Delaney with snacks and Jake Ankney with drinks. The next meeting was set for Sunday, June 14th , 6:30p.m. in the Legion Building. Four people were opposed to this date. Adjourning this meeting was Morgan Pendleton motioning and Nikki Davis seconding.

The meeting this month was held on April 18,2009 for the Farmer Agriculturalists at 9:00am in the Farmer Legion Building. Call to order was president Sara Culler. Pledges were read by Loren Scantlen with the 4-H pledge and Emily Culler with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call and minutes were read by Olivia Garrigus. Treasurer Kristine Culler stated that we had $762.19 in our fund. You also need to cash your fair checks as soon as possible. Caity Karnes did a health report over Zoonotic diseases. We had no safety report. Emily Culler led recreation by having a sticker on your chair, and if you did you got a piece of candy. Old business is a thank you to all officers because they all went to training. We also needed five agreement forms and $5.00 county fee from three members. We also had quality assurance following the meeting. Quick fundraising events were a bake sale, car wash, garage sale, doughnut sale, candle sale, popcorn sale, and pizza sale. We decided to have a garage sale/ bake sale at Candi Retcher’s house. Also, everyone needed to look over their books. New business is the essay contest for lambs or rabbits, the deadline was April 30th . The next quality assurance was April 22nd at Ayersville and May 2nd at Fairview. We also brought up the American Cancer Relay for Life for community service. We also decided on a t-shirt committee, involved is Nikki Davis, Addie Bergman, Maggie Pollard, Morgan Pendleton, Darian Andrist, Tierney Czartoski, Cheyanne Retcher, Megan Wiles, Preston Zeedyk and Caine Pierson. Demonstrations were Preston Zeedyk, Ethan Scantlen, Emily Culler, Chyanne Retcher,and Katie Davis. Volunteers for refreshments were Megan Wiles with snacks and Nathan Singer with drinks. Volunteers for demonstrations this time were Carly and Eme Sprow, Kristine Culler, Nikki and Cody Davis, Sara Culler, and Sam Garrigus. Meeting Minutes
Farmer Legion Hall
The meeting this month was held on March 9, 2009 for the Farmer Agriculturalists in the Legion building at 5:00 pm. The meeting was called to order by Austin Bok. Emily Culler led the 4-H pledge and Cheyanne Retcher led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call and minutes were read by Olivia Garrigus. Treasurer Brandon Appel stated that we had $759.89 in our fund. Kristine Culler did a health report on the food guide pyramid with the five food groups. Jeffrey Appel did a safety report on pocket knife safety. Emily Culler did recreation by having a word that starts with H and if you didn’t say it you had to give your penny back.
Old business is that we still need some agreement forms signed and the five dollar fee. As of today we currently have 60 members in our club. Thank you also to those who helped out at the mall show. We also elected new officers for our club. President is Sara Culler, Vice President is Nathan Singer, Secretary is Olivia Garrigus, Treasurer is Kristine Culler, Recreational Officer is Emily Culler, Health Officer is Caity Karnes, Safety Officer is Sam Garrigus, and Communications/Web Officer is Tierney Czartoski.
Officer training is March 30th, you must be there.

New Business is Princess Camp, they have room for 12 more girls. You need to call Teresa Johnson. The dates for this event are March 27th and 28th. We will also be getting our books hopefully this week. Quality Assurance for our club will be April 18th at 10:00am. Next Quality Assurance is at Ayersville High School at 3:30 on the 22nd of April. Anyone wishing to start with demonstrations may start.
